Artist Statement.

Ethan Dean is a seasoned photographer and content creator boating 10+ years of experience dealing with various types of styles and artistic practices. He specialized in providing high-quality media to businesses, with a tailored approach to meet the unique needs of each client. His work consists of content in the food and beverage industry, product photography, and work in the event space with concerts and private events. Ethan has a passion for storytelling and a wide range of expertise that allows for adaptability. By using competitive technologies such as drone photography, unconventional angles, and unique lighting positions, Ethan can achieve any type of tone or mood through his work.

Due to a strong background informally, Ethan is pursuing a media production minor through The College of Media, Communication, and Information at The University of Colorado Boulder. While attending, Ethan has developed his theoretical and formal understanding of how photography influences the context of storytelling, and how one conveys a narrative to an audience. Ethan navigates the realm of photography with a heightened awareness of its impact on audience engagement and emotional resonance. Each click of the shutter serves as a page in the book that captivates audiences on a large scale.

One of Ethan’s more recent projects has been a residency with Coat Check, a dance collective founded in Boulder, Colorado that aims to challenge the status quo with dance and techno music. Coat Check continues to tour the Denver Metropolitan area and beyond, recently playing in Miami Music Week. Ethan shoots all the posted media for them, running a strong and effective marketing campaign that continues to find strong outreach. Additionally, one of Ethan’s strong suits is capturing the art in food, so he works with various restaurants around the Boulder area to enhance his portfolio, and give businesses who lack strong social media content the ability to post high-quality images at a competitive price.
